Bryant Leap Forward Survey #2 Now Open

Residents encouraged to review future growth concepts and help shape Bryant's next chapter.

More than 1,700 residents, business owners, and stakeholders have already helped shape the Bryant Leap Forward Comprehensive Growth Plan, providing valuable insight into what matters most as Bryant plans for the future.

The first phase of public engagement focused on understanding community priorities, challenges, and opportunities. Feedback revealed strong support for preserving Bryant’s family-oriented character while investing in infrastructure, improving connectivity, supporting local businesses, and creating gathering places that strengthen community identity. Residents also identified several key challenges they would like the City to address. Traffic congestion, roadway connectivity, drainage, and flooding concerns ranked as the top issue facing the city, with 52.3% of respondents selecting it as a priority. The need for additional parks and recreational opportunities also emerged as a significant priority.

“One of the clearest messages we’ve heard is that residents love Bryant’s sense of community and want to see that protected as we grow,” said Mayor Chris Treat. “People are asking for thoughtful growth that improves quality of life, addresses infrastructure needs, and creates more opportunities for residents to connect.”

The next phase of the Bryant Leap Forward process asks the community to evaluate potential growth concepts and development patterns that could help achieve those goals. The newly launched survey presents a series of questions and gathering places throughout Bryant and asks residents and stakeholders to share their thoughts on features such as walkability, parks and open space, housing options, community gathering spaces, and future land use.

“This survey moves beyond identifying challenges and begins asking what solutions and opportunities residents would like to see in Bryant’s future,” said Planning & Development Director Colton Leonard. “The feedback we receive will help determine the vision, policies, and implementation strategies included in the final Comprehensive Growth Plan.”

The survey is now available at BryantLeapForward.com, and residents, business owners, students, and anyone with a stake in Bryant’s future are encouraged to participate.
