Adoption Center/Animal Shelter

The Bryant Animal Services & Adoption Center serves approximately 1,500 animals each year. Whether a pet is here briefly before being reunited with family or stays longer awaiting adoption, each animal is treated with kindness and compassion.

We are fortunate that our adoption rate is very high, with approximately 90% of adoptable and healthy pets adopted from our shelter, transferred to rescue groups, or placed with a shelter partner. While adoption is never guaranteed for any pet brought to us, we will do everything we can to place every pet into a life-long home.

Services Provided

Intake of Stray or Found Animals
Care and shelter for animals brought in from within Bryant city limits.
Pet Adoptions
Adoption services and placement support for eligible pets.
Owner Reclaims
Support for owners reclaiming pets that have been impounded.
City Permits
Issuing of City License for dogs and select other permits.
Spay/Neuter Vouchers (SNIP)
Program support to help offset spay/neuter costs for eligible residents.
Paws in Crisis
Free, temporary housing of pets for victims fleeing domestic abuse.
Pet Food Bank
Assistance for qualifying community members when available.
Disaster & Emergency Support
Disaster assistance and emergency boarding support as available.

Bringing a Pet to the Shelter

If you are planning to drop off an animal at the Adoption Center, please call first or complete the Animal Intake Request Form and a staff member will contact you.

Important intake notes

Bryant Animal Services cannot accept animals found outside city limits, and we cannot accept animals currently owned by someone who is not a Bryant resident for the purpose of relinquishment. The shelter may also be experiencing high intake volume and may not be able to accept a pet on the day you stop in.

Adopting a Pet

You can view current adoptable pets online and at partner locations. We also attend off-site adoption events as time permits.

Cats & kittens at PetSmart (Benton)

Cats and kittens may be available for viewing at the Pet Adoption Center within the PetSmart store located in The Shoppes at Benton, 20460 I-30, Benton AR 72019. For current hours, visit the PetSmart website.

Hosting an off-site adoption event

Want to host an off-site adoption event, or have us attend your event with pets for adoption? Contact us via email at animalcontrol@cityofbryant.com or by phone at 501-943-0489 with the date and time for your event at least 60 days prior.
